Ernie and Me

I had the pleasure of knowing Ernie Stires for 12 years. Though we originally met through my eagerness to learn more about the art of musical composition, our days together were spent discussing everything from historical literature to life, love and happiness.  Ernie was incredibly generous with his time and wisdom, always challenging me to confront my ignorance and constantly encouraging me to discover my own individuality through composition.  I’ve created this site with the intention of sharing the wealth of thoughts and ideas bestowed on me by this late great composer and man.
